Sawgrass Launches MidEast Cotton Sublimation Upgrade

New SG500 bundle breaks polyester barrier, allows direct desktop printing onto cotton

American digital decorating specialist Sawgrass Technologies, and its UAE-based partner, iTrading DWC LLC, have launched an upgrade programme in the Middle East to transition existing customers from legacy printers to VersiFlex, the company’s newest sublimation technology.

Offered as the SG500 VersiFlex starter bundle, this comprehensive package includes the SG500 printer, VersiFlex starter ink set, and the VersiFlex light transfer paper. It delivers a complete, ready-to-run setup that allows regional print shops, garment decorators, and personalised gifting studios to expand their product offerings using the same footprint.

The primary breakthrough of VersiFlex is the ability to sublimate directly onto cotton fabrics through a simple three-step process. Conventional sublimation is traditionally limited to polyester blends, so this innovation opens up the massive, mainstream cotton garment market to decorators. The system yields excellent print quality with fine details and maintains a soft hand feel on the finished apparel.

Built for dependable production, the technology features a no-clog system and carries a 3-year warranty or 100K-print warranty. By eliminating the technical barriers that once restricted desktop sublimation to synthetic fabrics, it provides businesses an efficient path forward. As the authorised regional dealer, iTrading manages all coverage, enquiries, and purchases for users looking to upgrade their setups.
