Saudi’s Juthor Inks Deal for Sixth Tissue Production Line

Juthor Paper Manufacturing Company, a subsidiary of Middle East Paper Company (MEPCO), has signed a contract with Austria-based ANDRITZ AG to manufacture, supply, and install a sixth tissue production line (TM6). This strategic agreement is valued at less than 25% of MEPCO’s total revenue, according to the latest audited financial statement.

The 24-month contract includes acquiring a tissue paper production line with an annual production capacity of 60,000 tonnes and a speed of 2,100 metres per minute. ANDRITZ will oversee the manufacturing, supply, and installation phases to ensure efficient implementation.

The financial impact of this agreement is expected to materialise starting the fourth quarter of 2026. In August, MEPCO’s board approved a SAR 345 million project to double Juthor’s production capacity through the introduction of the TM6 tissue production line.

Conveniently located close to King Abdullah Port, Juthor Paper Manufacturing Company is a fully-owned subsidiary of MEPCO specialised in manufacturing tissue paper for markets in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
