Primera Technology, Inc based in Minnesota, US recently announced the addition of the CX1000e Colour Label Printer to its range of industrial label printers. The label printer, according to the company is designed for in-house production of professional–quality product labels. The company claim that CX1000e is ideal for producing short-to-medium run jobs in various sizes. The machine has 2400 dpi print resolution and has a print speed of about 5 meters per minute.
The CX1000e prints on different laser-qualified label materials including pressure-sensitive plain papers, white and clear polyesters and more. A wide range of approved matte, semi-gloss, high-gloss and specialty food and beverage label materials are currently available. The machine can also print on a selection of eco-friendly substrates that are made of up to 100% post-consumer waste.
The labels printed on CX1000e are waterproof, scratch, smudge and tear resistant. The ink used is UV-resistant, and can be used both indoors and outside. “Primera’s new CX1000e is a best-in-class solution for manufacturers and distributors, who want to produce higher quantities of their own high-quality labels-in-house,” said Mark D. Strobel, Primera’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Producing your own labels on CX1000e not only saves time and is far more convenient, but it almost always saves your money too.”
The applications for the CX1000e include specialty, organic and gourmet foods and beverages, coffee roasters and specialty teas, wineries, breweries and distilleries, cosmetics, and personal care products, chemical, household and auto products, private labelling and much more. Priced at € 10,995 (approx. 13,512 US$), the label printer comes along with a label design software called PTPrint™ 8.0 for Windows.
