Komori International Europe, subsidiary of print solutions provider Komori Corporation Japan, welcomes Moez Jebali as Regional Sales Director, responsible for the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa (META).
Jebali has twenty years of experience in the sale of equipment to the printing industry in the region. This recent move is a part of Komori’s vision to provide a more dedicated support to its customers and distributors and also strengthen its position in the META region.
“I am excited to strengthen the distribution network and to provide a more dedicated support to the customers and to the distributors,” says Jebali. “Komori Corporation is a leading manufacturer with an impressive product portfolio expanded far beyond commercial and packaging offset presses, with webfed, digital, currency and security presses, printed electronics and post press solutions. Komori is more than just an equipment manufacturer; it is a business partner—dedicated to add customers’ value.”
Before he joined Komori, Jebali spent 20 years at one of the world’s leading suppliers of equipment and services to the printing and packaging and label manufacturers. During this assignment, he was caring responsibility for the folding carton business in the Middle East, Egypt and Pakistan. His experience in these areas, in relation to the packaging business will prove to be a valuable asset for Komori at the start of 2023.
“This year will continue to challenge our customers with energy, materials, and resource shortages. Additionally, there is an increasing demand to further reduce environmental impact,” says Jebali. “Komori perceives these challenges as opportunities, with an approach to solve our customers’ problems through relentless technological innovation. In fact, this has been the approach of Komori during its long history, this year surpassing the 100 years since its foundation in 1923,” adds Jebali.
The world is changing incredibly fast and so is the printing industry. To be able to compete in their markets, print companies need their business to be as efficient, reliable, and profitable as possible. As a print solutions provider, Komori strives for excellence in everything they do in order to exceed clients’ expectations. Komori believes it is important to build deep partnerships by going above and beyond for them.
ME Printer caught up with Moez Jebali for a brief tete-a-tete, where the new regional sales head of Komori spoke about his past experience, what his future plans would be in the new role, and how he would see himself in the new company.
How long have you worked for BOBST and what was your last position held in that company?
Moez Jebali: I worked at BOBST for 20 years, and my last position was that of Regional Sales Manager, responsible for the folding carton business in the Middle East, Egypt, and Pakistan.
What are your plans and aspirations in your new job?
MJ: In my new position at Komori, I will be responsible for the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa. It is a larger region, presenting new challenges, but also having more potential and growth perspectives. My plan is to strengthen the distribution network and to provide a more dedicated support to the customers and to the distributors. One of the major objectives is the repositioning of Komori brand and the increase of market awareness about the unique benefits of operating Komori equipment.
While Komori is a major offset press manufacturer, BOBST is a major converting and package printing equipment manufacturer. With the changeover, do you think you will need some time to adjust to the new environment or is it basically the same?
MJ: During my previous work at BOBST, most of my customers were running offset printing presses, and this helped raise in me a keen interest in this technology and the related equipment. Now I am excited with my new job at Komori which is a leading offset press manufacturer. Though some technical details of equipment are new to me, I am already familiar with the offset printing environment. Moreover, I am happy that I will stay in touch with my customers, with whom I have a long relationship, and will be pleased to provide them with all possible support related to offset printing and other solutions supplied by Komori.
