Ittihad Paper Mill Certified 4IR Digital Leader by MoIAT

Abu Dhabi-based Ittihad Paper Mill (IPM) has been certified as an ‘Industry 4.0 Digital Leader’ by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT).

The award is in recognition of the company’s exceptional contributions and leadership in advancing digital transformation in the industrial sector, reflected in the high score achieved by the paper manufacturer through the Industrial Technology Transformation Index (ITTI) assessment of its manufacturing facility.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution Program, also known as the ‘UAE Industry 4.0’, aims to transform the UAE’s industrial base into a globally competitive, productive, and sustainable sector. The initiative is one of the main pillars of Operation 300bn, the UAE’s industrial strategy. It aims to accelerate the digital transformation of the industrial sector, support leading industrialists throughout their journey, boost the sector’s productivity, and create thousands of new, high-skilled jobs.

The ministry has also acknowledged IPM’s commitment to innovative technologies, which have significantly impacted the UAE industry by setting a benchmark for excellence and inspiring others to follow.

Starting operations in 2020, IPM is the first printing and writing paper production facility in the GCC. The company is focused on catering to the growing regional demand for paper products that is currently reliant on imports, while also serving the international markets.

Located on a 2,50,000 sq m plot in the Industrial City of Abu Dhabi (ICAD), IPM is the largest producer of printing and writing paper in the MENA region with an annual production capacity of 3,25,000 tonnes.
