Sheikha Bodour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of the International Publishers Association (IPA), concluded a week of fruitful discussions and cultural dialogues while participating in the 74th edition of the Frankfurt Book Fair 2022.
Al Qasimi affirmed the continued support of IPA to find sustainable solutions to the challenges facing the publishing industry. She was honoured by the association during a special event in the exhibition in recognition of her passion and commitment to supporting the publishing industry during her tenure as president of the IPA.
Al Qasimi attended the opening ceremony of the 5-day book fair presiding over a number of discussions with think tanks from the global publishing industry.
On the sidelines of the Frankfurt Book Fair’s reception dinner, Bodour Al Qasimi also witnessed the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) announce the shortlisted nominees for the debut edition of the Sharjah Rights Connection Awards, launched earlier this year to honour the leading contributions of rights professionals in promoting the global publishing industry. 33 applications were received from 14 countries in the two award categories.
