Over the course of three days, food and beverage manufacturers will convene in Dubai to showcase the latest production and packaging solutions from countries around the world in Gulfood Manufacturing, the MEASA (the Middle East, Africa and South Asia) region’s largest and leading food and beverage processing and packaging event.
Celebrating a Decade of Excellence
To be held from 5-7 November, 2024, at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), this year’s landmark 10th edition will unveil the next era of food manufacturing, digital adoption, and breakthrough innovations in a critical year for the manufacturing chain. The event will feature products, services, and solutions covering four sectors that are expected to move the F&B manufacturing industry forward, including Ingredients, Processing, Packaging, and Supply Chain Solutions.
Gulfood Manufacturing 2024 promises to be the largest ever, bringing together over 2,500 exhibitors from 72 countries spread over 19 halls offering groundbreaking innovations, including some of the biggest global brands in F&B production, besides anticipating a huge global audience of more than 45,000 industry professionals. Reinforcing Gulfood Manufacturing’s position as the must-attend event for the global food industry, 90% of the world’s leading F&B manufacturing brands will be represented at the 2024 edition.

Nanotechnology in Food Packaging & Other Top Food Manufacturing Trends of 2024
Like all other industries, food manufacturing is being revolutionised by the adoption of innovative solutions and futuristic technologies.
Nanotechnology-enhanced packaging for improving food safety, quality, and shelf life with antimicrobial protection and real-time condition monitoring is one of the breakthrough technologies to be featured this year. Nanoparticles with antimicrobial properties when integrated into packaging materials inhibit the growth of bacteria and other pathogens, keeping the food safe and wholesome.
The global nanotechnology for food packaging market, valued at $20 billion in 2023, is expected to reach $46.50 billion by the year 2031 at a robust CAGR of 11.32% for the 2024-2031 forecast period.
Precision fermentation for added nutrition; the use of automation, IoT, AI, and 3D printing for customised food products and blockchain transparency and traceability; the use of AI in ingredient discovery and identifying new components to enhance food products; Industry 5.0 integrating AI, automation, and IoT to improve food production quality, safety, and sustainability; and building resilient supply chains by leveraging smart systems, sensors, and distributed production models are the other main areas of focus.
