Four MPS Entities Declared Bankrupt

Four companies operating under MPS, the Dutch-based supplier of printing technologies for labels and flexible packaging, have been declared bankrupt by an order of the District Court of Gelderland dated 28 October 2025.

The entities affected are MPS Holding B.V., MPS Systems B.V., MPS Service & Commissioning B.V., and MPS Supply Chain B.V.

The court has appointed E. R. Looijen, a corporate law attorney with Arnhem-based law firm Stellichar Advocaten, as the official trustee for the bankruptcies. Additionally, a two-month cooling-off period has been imposed to facilitate the insolvency process.

As a result of the bankruptcies, the trustee is now responsible for safeguarding the assets of the companies, evaluating their financial standing, and investigating potential avenues for a going-concern sale of the assets. The primary objectives are the preservation of the brand, the protection of the underlying technology, and the continued availability of essential spare parts for the existing customer base.

All operational activities across the affected entities – including production, deliveries, and services – are currently suspended temporarily. The appointed trustee is actively exploring whether specific operations can be resumed or successfully transferred to a third party.

The trustee’s office has stated that stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, distributors, and service partners, will be provided with practical information and answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs) concerning orders, payments, service, and contractual matters during the insolvency process.
