As part of its INSIGHTS series, FESPA will be hosting a webinar tomorrow (4 March 2026) that will critically examine the seismic shifts currently reshaping the fashion and apparel sector.
Titled ‘On-demand Fashion: How Smart Tech is Redefining Printed Apparel Production’, the virtual event will explore how the latest digital print innovations, paired technologies, and green chemistry – combined with seamless software integration, are solving the industry’s most pressing challenges, namely sustainability, speed-to-market, and the widening skills gap. By automating workflows and utilising real-time production data, businesses can collapse traditional design-to-delivery timelines and reduce their environment footprint.
With digital textile printing forecasted to reach $8.8 billion by 2027, the industry is moving rapidly away from wasteful, water-intensive mass production toward agile, on-demand models. This transition represents a fundamental change in manufacturing philosophy, prioritising resource efficiency and localised production to meet evolving consumer needs.
The FESPA session will offer significant benefits for high-volume manufacturers, independent brands, designers, printers, and retailers alike. Participants will be equipped with the specific insights and strategies needed to build a resilient, profitable, and future-proof supply chain.
The webinar will feature textile consultants Kerry Maguire King and Gart Davis, Prinfab Director and Owner Oliver Mustoe-Playfair, and Texintel CEO and FESPA Textile Ambassador Debbie McKeegan.
Date: 4 March 2026.
Time: 14:00 GMT.
