Fedrigoni Announces Leadership Changes

Marco Nespolo to step down as CEO; Rolf Stangl appointed Executive Chairman

Italian pressure sensitive products and premium packaging materials manufacturer Fedrigoni S.p.A. announced that Chief Executive Officer and Board Chairman Marco Nespolo will step down from his roles, effective 6 October 2026, to pursue other opportunities.

Nespolo, who led the group’s international growth and market transformation during his nearly eight-year tenure as CEO, will retain his equity investment and continue to serve the company’s management team as a board member.

To succeed him, the board of directors has appointed Rolf Stangl as Executive Chairman, effective the same date. Stangl will collaborate with the group CFO and OpCos CEOs to execute and accelerate the company’s profitable growth strategy. The transition aligns with the group’s ongoing initiatives to evolve its corporate governance and management structures.

Stangl joins the leadership team with more than two decades of executive experience across private equity-backed and publicly listed entities. He previously served as CEO of Swiss packaging firm SIG Group AG from 2008 to 2020, guiding the company through multiple ownership transitions and a successful IPO. Most recently, he held roles as a Senior Advisor to Apollo Global Management and Non-Executive Chairman of Reynolds Consumer Products.
