3-day course aimed at improving performance, enhancing efficiency, and upskilling workers; practical tips offered to identify challenges and address them; several key topics related to offset printing covered
The Chamber of Printing & Packaging Industries of the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) organised a three-day training course titled ‘Managing and Resolving Challenges in Offset Printing’ at the FEI headquarters in Cairo on 4 February, 2025. The training was in direct response to the growing needs of the sector to improve performance, enhance operational efficiency, and upskill workers to face technical challenges, while achieving the highest standards of quality and keeping pace with the rapid technological advancements in the printing industry.
“The training focused specifically on providing participants with practical skills required to meet the needs of the commercial printing sector, to improve productivity by identifying the challenges and addressing them, cutting down printing costs, and minimising waste. The training was designed to include a varied class of employees in the printing industry, including production and quality supervisors, department heads, and managers,” says Nadim Elias, Chairman, Chamber of Printing & Packaging Industries.
The course incorporated several key topics related to offset printing, including types of substrates and their impact on the print quality, properties and applications of inks, choosing the right ink for each printing process, handling printing plates, and other technical aspects related to the printing process.
