The Dubai Municipality in cooperation with the American University of Sharjah has launched the ‘Jobs of the Future’ initiative, as part of the UAE Careers Vision Jobs 2022. The aim, in its first phase, is to draw and sponsor 45 candidates for training and development in private sector companies.
University students and municipality employees will enhance their theoretical and practical knowledge in areas including 3D printing, artificial intelligence, digital data science, and food safety.
The approved route to future jobs are designed according to the nature of the municipal work fields, with focus on acquiring practical knowledge, giving more space to the municipality’s expertise and field application of the knowledge acquired in cooperation with the private sector.
Through the 3D printing process, the municipality seeks to enhance its efforts in sustainable urban planning; augment an advanced building system; and develop a smart, viable, and modern building sector globally. As part of the Artificial Intelligence Engineering track, it aims to strengthen Dubai Municipality as an innovative and digitally pioneering governing body that contributes to the development of an advanced digital system in the Emirate. The Sharjah Food Safety Program (SFSP) initiative also focuses on big data analysis to preserve sustainable environmental and food resources, and ensure resilient food supply chains.
