The Chamber of Printing & Packaging Industries of the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) announced the start of implementation of its Izdihar programme to accelerate the growth of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the printing and packaging sector. The programme will be undertaken in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, and Egypt’s Export Council for Printing, Packaging, Paper, Literary and Artistic Works.
The Chamber said that the programme aims to help companies achieve significant growth rates by assisting them build and implement a strategic plan through an expert group of consultants specialized in the sector.
Izdihar also aims to provide the necessary technical support in the areas of marketing and business development, innovation management, technology transfer, improving operations, targeting new markets for export, and managing assets and money, in addition to having training sessions for human resources of participating companies.
The programme, open to any Egyptian enterprise or company, must have completed at least a year in service, have a rate of sale ranging between one million and 250 million Egyptian pounds, and with a total workforce strength of between five and 50.
