Canon was named a ‘Leader’ in the latest IDC MarketScape EMEA Managed Print Services report. IDC cited Canon’s significant investment in services and solutions at both a tactical and strategic level, and its range of printers, multifunctional devices (MFDs) and established software solutions.
Hendrik Verbrugghe, Marketing Director, Canon Middle East commented, “We’re delighted with the outcome of the IDC report – we believe this underscores Canon’s continued investment in Managed Print Services and solutions and is proof of our on-going commitment to providing the very best MPS solution for our customers. We continue to develop the latest technology that allows our customers to address their evolving needs with faster and more efficient document workflows, tighter control over costs, and enhanced document security.”
The IDC report also lists Canon’s Managed Print Services Accreditation Scheme, which is an extension to its Partner Programme and provides extensive training, helping partners to transform their business strategies from the sale of traditional hardware towards higher-value document solutions and services.
In addition, the IDC report identifies Canon’s continued focus on MPS and solutions when developing its hardware product range. In particular, IDC lists Canon’s uniFLOW and imageWare technology and Oce’s large IP portfolio as key strengths that enable Canon to differentiate its MPS offering.
