BOBST Highlights Digital Future at plastprintpack West Africa

After the grand success of the inaugural edition in Abidjan in 2018 followed by a long wait due to the pandemic, organisers fairtrade along with their local Ivorian partner 2A Consulting are now coming back to Côte d’Ivoire and Francophone West Africa with plastprintpack West Africa.

The second edition of plastprintpack West Africa is underway in conjunction with agrofood West Africa and Afrik’Embal at the brand new Parc de Expositions, Abidjan. The event is being held from 8-10 October, 2024.

This year’s core themes on circular economy and recycling, food safety, and reduction of food waste were complemented by panel discussions and lectures on the topics by industry experts.

Hannibal Ben Jomaa, Area Sales Manager BOBST Africa & Middle East, presented ‘Connectivity and Digitalisation: Process Optimisation in the Packaging Industry’. The session dedicated to BOBST Connect aroused great interest, captivating an attentive and interactive audience. Jomaa demonstrated how digital transformation can streamline processes, improve operational efficiency, and foster greater connectivity between different players in the value chain.

“The ensuing discussions were particularly enriching, highlighting the growing importance of innovation and collaboration in our sector,” says Mohamed Hassairi, Regional Marketing & Communications Manager BOBST Africa & Middle East and Turkey/Caucasus.
