Bobst Expands Team For Webfed Products

Bobst is perhaps one of the few European graphic arts companies that has a full service team in our region. The company recently expanded its team of qualified technicians for webfed printing equipment by recruiting Nitin Ashar who is an instrumentation engineer. “Prior to joining Bobst Middle East I was working with Bobst India. I have many years of experience in flexible packaging environment in India and UAE under my belt. There are about 40 webfed Bobst flexo and gravure presses installed in Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Oman. In total we have 19 customers for our webfed presses in these countries.

At the moment we have a team of 3 technicians stationed in Saudi and Tunisia who are looking after maintenance for webfed presses. I will be based in UAE,” Explains Ashar.

Mustapha El Ouaer head of Bobst service center for Africa and Middle East who is an electromechanical engineer himself says customer satisfaction for Bobst is the first priority.

That’s why Bobst decided to expand its service team for webfed presses. “We already had a team including 2 engineers stationed in Saudi, 2 in Dubai and one regional service manager for our sheetfed line of products. So we felt that with growing number of our webfed presses in the region we had to add to our qualified engineers for webfed products as well,” comments El Ouaer.

He adds.” Our target is that within maximum 12 hours our engineer should arrive at customer’s premises anywhere in the region to fix the problem.”

Roy Obeid, Bobst’s Middle East Business Director for webfed products says,” Our customers are very keen to have service contract with us. Using local qualified engineers we are now able to offer maintenance services at the lower cost.

Our local engineers are highly skilled and they are trained by Bobst in Switzerland, Germany  and Italy They are as good are their European counterparts. So our customers are now able to receive the same level of professional after sale services with an affordable price. ”
