BOBST has announced its successful participation at the Industry Grand Expo (IGE) 2025 in Oran, Algeria, where the company presented its latest technologies and industrial solutions for packaging excellence and sustainability. Over the four-day event in late October, BOBST experts also delivered a series of presentations on topics aligned with IGE’s core themes of innovation and standardisation.
Created as a strategic meeting point for manufacturers, suppliers, experts, and innovators, the inaugural edition of IGE, held from 27-30 October 2025, brought together 31 international exhibitors. Chosen as the exhibition’s honorary partner, BOBST’s booth displayed state-of-the-art packaging solutions – a combination of digitalisation, automation, connectivity, and sustainability.
“BOBST’s participation at the Industry Grand Expo in Algeria supported not only the event itself, but also the region’s wider drive for modernisation and innovation within the industrial and packaging sectors,” says Eric Pavone, BOBST Business Director AFMETC Region. “IGE offers an excellent platform for knowledge exchange and networking, and I’m confident that the event will become a critical catalyst for growth over the coming years.”
Among the highlights on the BOBST stand was the oneBARRIER family of sustainable flexible packaging solutions. Also in focus was BOBST Connect, the digital platform enabling fully connected packaging workflows, along with the zero-fault packaging concept. Live streams directly from the Competence Center in Mex, Switzerland, impressed visitors with demonstrations of the BOBST NOVACUT 106 ER – Autoplaten die-cutter and EXPERTFOLD folder-gluer equipped with ACCUCHECK quality control and ACCUBRAILLE Braille embossing capability. Visitors were also able to experience BOBST Connect in action and learn about the company’s dedicated local customer services and technical support.
BOBST also joined the official conference programme, delivering three expert presentations that illustrated how its innovations are setting a new benchmark for industrial efficiency. Pavone outlined BOBST’s vision for the future of the packaging world and how this approach drives its continuous innovation. Picking up on the topic of sustainability, he went on to discuss the oneBARRIER portfolio of mono-material packaging solutions which has been engineered specifically for recycling.
Addressing the growing need for standardisation, François Cornu, BOBST Deputy Technology Sales Director LADSF, explained the zero-fault packaging concept which creates seamless workflows to support brand owners with high-quality packaging. BOBST Field Services Engineer Othmani Miled also outlined how BOBST Connect offers digitalisation and optimisation of the entire production process through machine connectivity, providing deep data insights and enabling predictable maintenance.
“IGE 2025 was an immense success and an invaluable opportunity for BOBST to engage with the Algerian packaging industry, all under one roof, as we continue to strengthen our position in the region,” adds Pavone. “Collaboration is essential in today’s complex and challenging market. By working together, we can drive innovation and build a brighter future for packaging in Algeria.”
