Talking about the trends in the market place, Prem Naseer, Group General Manager of Ali AlHashemi said, “After the worldwide slow down in 2007, the print market drastically went down & various commercial printing jobs were cancelled. However there were rapid strides in the packaging market. Italy (Industrial laminators), Digital UV coaters from MGI & Conventional UV screen printing from Sakurai, Japan and various other finishing solutions for the print-pack industry. Komori Lithrone GX40 – Carton Sheetfed Offset Printing Press
We represent Komori for the K.S.A. (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia). The Lithrone GX40 Carton is a dedicated press with high-level functions that is specified for printing on heavy stocks. Well adapted to package printing, this press is based on the latest Lithrone G40. It offers a maximum printing speed of 16,500 sheets per hour.
XEIKON 3500
We started our cooperation with Xeikon BV from September 2011. We had initially dealt with Basysprint (another brand of the company) for their conventional plate CTCPs, and 4 months later were appointed as the agents for Xeikon Industrial Label Printing Machines, Document printing solution & also for the Thermoflex laser CTP for flexo plates in the Gulf states & Saudi Arabia.
The Xeikon 3500 is a web-fed digital color press designed for labels and packaging applications. This press can handle media widths of up to 20.3 inches and has a maximum imaging width of 20 inches. The machine has a printing speed of up to 15m/min. The Xeikon web fed digital color press can print labels and packaging of different formats and sizes in the same run.
OMET – Narrow Web
We started our cooperation with Omet Srl since December 2010. The Varyflex V2 Packaging machine is designed to offer a wide range of printing and finishing technologies. It is the ideal platform for flexible packaging printers, who look into short runs and profitable market niches.
The OMET Varyflex V2 CARTON is a machine that is dedicated to in-line carton printing and converting. The machine is ideal for food, tobacco, fast moving consumer goods and cosmetic applications. This is a complimentary solution for sheet fed offset printers who are chased by short runs with no or low profitability.
Cerutti Group – Flexotecnica
As part of expanding our market in the flexo industry, we have joined hands with Flexotecnica – srl -Italy, part of Cerutti Group. Flexotecnica’s new XD “High profit” product range allows printers and packaging converters to achieve the highest quality performances whilst keeping production costs to an absolute minimum. The new “XD” assures maximum productivity with minimised running costs, thus achieving a shorter return on investment (R.O.I) whilst respecting environmental sustainability and maximising the eco-friendly impact.
Tymi Spot & Full UV Coating for Packaging application
The latest UV coating machine Tymi Ustar can meet various requirements of the users. The fast rotation of coating plate fits in with both wide and narrow coating plates. The structure of Ustar is different from traditional UV spot coating machine, it comes with improvement in the frame, gears, transmission, lubrication and automated electricity to bear the high speed operation.
