Xerox Egypt announced the launch of a new radiology printing system in the country. According to Xerox the new solution lets you print radiological and other medical images on plain paper at near film quality.
It fits seamlessly into both traditional and PACS (Picture archiving and communication system) workflows to provide a cost-effective solution for sharing images with referral physicians. This system is the fruit of cooperation between Xerox and aycan.
Xerox claims this system reduces film costs by up to 90%. On the other hand Paper prints are the most efficient and effective way to share images while simplifying and streamlining work processes. With paper prints, there’s no need for light boxes or complex infrastructure.
Referral physicians can quickly and easily review the diagnosis and comprehend it more completely. In addition, paper prints can be annotated for clarification, shared with patients and consulted during.
The launch of new system was announced during 45th Annual Congress of Egyptian Society of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine (ESRNM), sponsored by Xerox.
During the congress Xerox conducted live demonstration of the new system using Xerox Colour 560 printer.
Wael Sedky, Head of Graphic Art Sales Operation in Xerox Egypt said: “Once again Xerox reasserts its leading position as an innovative company ready to respond to market demands for out of the box solutions. Xerox system will open up new horizons for radiology and X- ray printing. We will organize seminars and conferences to spread awareness about the benefits and applications of the new system for health care institutions in our country.”
Xerox Egypt has already supplied both Nile Scan Center and Dar El Asheaa Scan center with Xerox Colour 560. Nile Scan Center was the first digital printing operation who opted for Xerox Colour 560 in Egypt followed by Dar El Asheaa who bought three units.
