Dynagraph in collaboration with MBO and Herzog & Heymann (H&H) organized a workshop on the latest folding and finishing technology. The event took place on 22 September in Radisson Blu hotel. More than 60 printing and packaging professionals attended the workshop.
Representatives of German finishing giants took advantage of the occasion to promote their new equipment including MBO’s M80 folding machine. MBO claims M80’s modular design makes it a unique product. Because it can adapt to the changing environment of today’s market. Meanwhile H&H provided an overview of the latest developments in folding and inline finishing solutions.
Welcoming the attendees Jamal Kanaan, General Manager of Dynagraph said: “There is no doubt that the packaging is playing an increasing important role in the graphic arts industry. This workshop offers a round up on the various packaging solutions and technologies that can help printers improve their business and add more revenue streams to their operations”.
Followed by Kanaan, Dieter Adam Area Sales Manager at MBO talked about difficulties printers are facing when they decide to diversify into other sectors of printing industry. Adam maintains that printers are now focusing on cosmetics and pharmaceutical packaging as added value products that can generate a healthy profit.
During his speech Adam also promoted the company’s new M80 Folding machine. “The M80 is the world’s only fully adaptable folder. This machine gives you the flexibility to install “add-on” components after your initial purchase in order to meet new job requirements. If a new job structure comes along that demands more out of your machine the M80 requires only a reconfiguration to meet these new demands,” explained Adam.
MBO along with its representative Al Khorayef plans to hold a similar workshop for its customers in Saudi Arabia during the month of October
The next speaker was Wolfgang Schlegel, Herzog & Heymann’s product manager. He also talked about solutions offered by the company in postpress and finishing including KL 112.1 miniature folding machine as well as Mailing profitcentre.
