The 8th WAN-IFRA Middle East Conference will take place from 26th February to 27th February 2013 at J W Marriot Hotel, Dubai. The event, according to WAN-IFRA officials, will provide an ideal opportunity for publishing executives to discover a wealth of regional and international best-practice ideas.
This year, the conference is titled, ‘The sky is not the limit’. Renowned experts from the publishing industry will share their successful strategies and participants will have the opportunity to network with them. The conference program includes a virtual tour around the Middle East as senior executives in the publishing industry will share the latest trends. Organizers said that participants can explore new revenue streams from both digital and print and learn about the future prospects of print.
Day 1 of the conference will see Jacob Mathew, WAN-IFRA President and Executive Editor and Publisher of Malayala Manorama Group in India addressing the gathering. The welcome address will be given by Saleh Al Humaidan, Managing Director Al-Yaum Media House, KSA and Chairman of the WAN-IFRA Middle East Committee; Mohammad Abdullah, Managing Director, Media Cluster – TECOM Investments and Vincent Péregne, CEO, WAN-IFRA. On Day 2 professionals like Dr. Mario Garcia, Founder/CEO of Garcia Media will talk about how to plan content and how to design it for the new media.
