Fusion Digital Paper, popularly known for its array of unique synthetic substrates that are specifically engineered for digital imaging has introduced a 13 mil Fusion Polyester Cover, a digital solution for durable menu and outdoor signage applications. It is a rigid polyester cover with static free digital runnability. It is also waterproof, tear and stain resistant, and foldable.
The new 13 mil Fusion Polyester Cover runs static free on high heat toner production digital equipment. This unique feature avoids the usual static electricity problems common with top coated digital polyester films. This product truly prints like paper, yet has the durability of a synthetic product. It has been made in the USA with a proprietary manufacturing process.
The characteristics of this new polyster cover during print finishing processes are just like paper. It can be immediately run on the second side or jogged, stacked, punched, and cut directly after digitally printing. Another feature in this category is that it is foldable. This rigid and durable polyester when creased and boned provides a finished product with a layflat fold.
Patricia Dell, Owner/Operator of The Hog Pit NYC said that she was tired of her old laminated menus. She added, “They are tough to read due to the glare, or they scratch or split and so I was trying to find some sort of synthetic paper that I could print on. I tried a lot of products, even matte laminates, and none of them worked.”
“We have been working on this solution for restaurants for the better part of two years.”
