Riyadh-based Friends of the Football Players Charity is holding a five-day training course ‘Printing on Fabrics and Gifts’. The programme, ending on 4 November, 2021, is being conducted with the support and strategic partnership of the Social Development Bank (SDB) to empower the players’ families.
Through the course, the charity seeks to empower families and individuals with professional and craft skills necessary to start their own businesses as productive families, raise the quality of products and services provided by them, and increase the participation rate of the target segments in the local economy. The course is an introduction to various types of printing such as thermal printing, methods of using printing devices, taking measurements, in addition to educating participants on the basic elements of printing to gain the experience required to practice the profession well.
Chairman of the Executive Committee, Secretary General, and a member of the Board of Directors of the charity, Fahad Al Dosari, explained that the course in printing on fabrics and gifts will help the association’s beneficiaries from the families of the old players who work or have a passion for drawing, decorating, and printing. According to Al Dosari the course will also help them develop fine motor skills, improve concentration, and learn the importance of patience and creativity in transforming fabric into a unique piece.
This is the second training course organized by the charity as part of “Hana Qadha”, one of the strategic initiatives of the organization, after an earlier course was conducted in sewing and embroidery.
