Returning for its ninth consecutive year, this year’s annual Graphic Users Association of KODAK Solutions (GUA) conference will focus on workflow optimisation and automation, and mark the release of KODAK PRINERGY Workflow 6.1.
This year’s event will be held Oct 1-3. in the fascinating city of Sofia, Bulgaria, and will be structured around a twin track programme – “What, When and What-if” and “Why, Can and How”. The former is the keenly anticipated annual exploration of KODAK PRINERGY Workflow development on a product-by-product and option-by-option basis, whilst the latter will feature practical sessions hosted by GUA board members. Taken together the tracks will ensure all delegates gain highly relevant ‘take home’ benefits from the event and gain real insights, from the very users who have made PRINERGY Workflow the world’s leading solution it has become.
Knowing what the future holds is the holy grail of any product development team and, whilst this is no crystal ball, the GUA Conference is a great opportunity to get some of the best minds in print production together, thereby helping to shape future developments. Held under a Non-Disclosure Agreement, Kodak’s R&D Team will therefore be taking the opportunity to update delegates on the future direction of PRINERGY Workflow, starting with the release of PRINERGY Workflow 7 and then looking beyond to subsequent releases.
In a GUA Conference first, the “Why, Can and How” track will be led by GUA Board members, the same individuals who helped shape PRINERGY Workflow and KODAK INSITE Solutions.
This will give delegates the opportunity to hear first-hand how they are taking MIS Connectivity to new levels, exploiting the rich and sophisticated tools within Rules Based Automation and incorporating colour management to provide the next level of intelligent automation and unprecedented integration.
The 2014 event will also see an expanded Partner Programme with PackZ, Compri and PrintVis joining regulars, Arden Software and EFI, in the connected world that is print production workflow.
Stephen Lavey, GUA Board President, commented “The focus of the GUA is to ensure our members are up to date with the latest technology, promote knowledge sharing and provide first class networking opportunities. This year’s GUA Conference remains true to these principles, whilst also featuring a number of new innovations which keeps the event fresh and topical.”
Gudrun Alex, Marketing Director, Kodak EAMER, added: “The speakers at this year’s event share between them a wealth of technical and industry knowledge and this really is the opportunity for GUA members to ensure they maximise the investment they’ve made in Kodak technologies.”
