The Saudi Ministry of Education announced that it has completed the printing operation of more than 62 million books for all stages of general education and is working to distribute them to the schools throughout the Kingdom for the second semester.
Assistant Minister of Education, Dr. Saad bin Saud Al Fahid explained that the ministry has completed designing, reviewing, approving and printing of 24,456,807 textbooks for the elementary stage, 14,349,606 textbooks for the intermediate stage, and 29,154,986 books for the secondary stage. All text books for the secondary stage have been distributed among high school students.
According to the Assistant Minister of Education the total school curricula for the second semester amounted to 307 titles and all have been printed, in coordination with the education departments, using finest paper and modern printing and finishing process.
