March 2025 kicks off with the 7th edition of Print HERstory Month, an annual celebration of the fierce and fabulous women in the global printing industry. This year, it’s all about amplifying women’s voices while championing the UN Women’s International Women’s Day 2025 theme: For ALL women and girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.
Hosted by Girls Who Print (GWP) – a woman-owned nonprofit organisation – Print HERstory Month isn’t just another industry event – it’s a movement. It celebrates the incredible women who drive, innovate, and transform the printing industry by sharing their stories, lifting each other, and inspiring the next generation of women to see print as a place where they can thrive.
Global Invite to Join Print HERstory Month 2025
This year, women in the printing industry are being invited from around the world to answer the Q&A posted on girlswhoprint.net and submit their responses by 11 March, 2025. Responses will be shared throughout the month to spotlight the talent, experiences, and advice from women in print and graphic arts across all industry segments.
GWP Executive Director Deborah Corn summarises succinctly: “Women in print play a vital role in our industry, but too often, their accomplishments aren’t amplified. Print HERstory Month is an opportunity to change that and promote the contributions and thought leadership from women that is seen, heard, and celebrated worldwide. This is an opportunity to inspire others, and be part of a global celebration of women in print.”
Online International Women’s Day Conference
As part of the celebration, GWP will also be hosting a free International Women’s Day Conference on 7 March, 2025, from 8 am to 3 pm ET (GMT -5). This annual Zoom event is where women (and male allies) come together to connect, engage, and learn. It’s open to anyone who wants to be part of the conversation on equality, empowerment, and leadership in the industry. This year’s theme resonates deeply with GWP’s mission to empower women worldwide in the print and graphic communications industry by cultivating a vibrant global community that drives innovation, fosters mentorship, fuels career growth, and helps secure the future of print.
