Over the course of three days, food and beverage manufacturers will convene in Dubai to showcase the latest production and packaging solutions from countries around the world in Gulfood Manufacturing, the Middle East Africa South Asia (MEASA) region’s largest and leading food and beverage processing and packaging event.
Held from 8-10 November, 2022, at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), this year’s edition will unveil the next era of food production – from new ingredients and advanced technologies to integrated supply chain solutions and breakthrough developments driving the industry forward. The event will cover five sectors including Ingredients, Processing, Packaging, Supply Chain Solutions, and Control & Automation.
Gulfood Manufacturing is an industry platform that addresses optimizing operational efficiency, driving responsible sourcing with traceable supply chains, navigating entry barriers in new markets, adopting sustainable practices, and generating new funding sources. This year’s edition is set to be 40% larger than the previous one, anticipating an audience in excess of 36,000 industry professionals, besides over 1,600 exhibitors from 60 countries, with 25% of them being new to the show, who will be displaying their global brands and varied solutions.
The 2022 edition will explore some of the industry’s most pressing challenges and trends including the latest supply chain disruptions, rising energy prices and transportation costs, and a raging inflation, and also provide solutions on how manufacturers can keep up with the inflation wave and how to respond quickly and build efficient flexible processes and plants as a successful way out.
A key feature this year includes the Food Tech Summit where over 100 of the industry’s most dynamic and engaging speakers will convene to discuss an issue-driven agenda ranging from food engineering innovations, metaverse factories of the future, Web 3.0 applications in food, emerging markets, food safety, circular ecosystems, sustainability-linked finance models, and much more. Visitors will have the chance to hear first-hand from a powerful line-up of global speakers including industry leaders, regulatory and policy makers, financial experts, geo-political and risk advisors, investors, and R&D specialists.
Another focus area will be the latest disruptions in food manufacturing including 3D printing, digital technologies, bacterial sensors on food packaging, and artificial intelligence such as electronic noses and electronic tongues for animal source food authentication and quality assessment.
Innovative packaging strategies, food innovations through microbiomes, and fermentation technology will also be some of the hot topics in discussion.
The event will create a platform for some of the largest companies in the food industry to present their products, services, and solutions to influential buyers from across the globe, creating multiple opportunities to build new professional relationships, strengthen existing ones, and execute high-value deals.
“From addressing global challenges to discussing the ESG wave that is transforming food systems and the huge opportunities brought in by innovation, our aim is to create a lasting, positive impact on the industry and take it to new heights, further cementing the UAE’s reputation as a global destination for leading future industries,” comments Executive Vice President, DWTC, Trixie LohMirmand.
