The luxury packaging industry and connoisseurs from all around the world will converge at Monaco’s Grimaldi Forum for LUXE PACK Monaco 2023, the premier trade show for creative packaging. Held from 2 to 4 October, 2023, the 35th edition of the event offers three days of business opportunities for over 450 premium packaging exhibitors, including 50 companies making their first appearance.
As the leading B2B tradeshow dedicated to premium and luxury packaging, LUXE PACK has established itself as an essential sourcing opportunity for brands across all beauty and luxury-related sectors, such as cosmetics, gourmet food products, fashion, perfumes, pharmacy, wines and spirits, and even the technology industry.
Debuting this year is LUXE home, a dedicated area showcasing an expansive range of high-end home fragrances and accessories, candles and candlesticks, oil lamps, interior perfumes, premium matches, and more. “The quest for well-being and positive emotions exploded during the pandemic, which has led to an increased demand for these ambience products. As a result, many brands are considering expanding into home care, “says Show Director Fabienne Germond. “We were surprised to discover that a large number of brands from all sectors are considering or launching themselves in this diversification segment. These include not only the biggest beauty houses, but even brands from the delicatessen, spirits, and automobile sectors, which have begun to think about their olfactory identity in order to offer a diverse range of products.”
Manufacturers are all set to display a slew of innovative and environmentally friendly products and prototypes, defining the future of the luxury packaging industry. The packaging portfolio of China-headquartered HCP will showcase its patented ‘Affinity Airless’ pump technology for high-performance, luxury skincare brands; and ergonomic, planet-friendly refillable cosmetics packaging such as Dial Refill Compact, Grafik Refill Eyeshadow Compact, and Ringo Refill Jar.
With an unwavering dedication to empowering environmentally conscious brands, Israeli digital print embellishment solutions provider Scodix will be presenting its achievements and certifications for recyclable, repulpable embellishments, and a life cycle assessment (LCA) of its processes as compared to traditional ones. Mark Nixon, EVP Global Sales & Marketing at Scodix, says, “Product samples on display will serve as a compelling demonstration of Scodix’ remarkable finishing capabilities. Scodix will also demonstrate tangible evidence of the substantial environmental benefits delivered by its process.”
Japanese company Toppan, a leading global provider of integrated solutions in communication, security, packaging, décor materials, and electronic solutions, will display high-security NFC tags, a state-of-the-art ID authentication platform, NFC solutions for D2C sales, and a new NFC tag that can detect the volume of liquid in a container.
US-based TriMas Packaging is another exhibitor showcasing its innovative and sustainable market-leading brands including Aarts Packaging, Affaba & Ferrari, Rapak, Rieke, and Taplast. “We are excited to feature the product offerings of our recent acquisition, Aarts Packaging, a distinguished innovator in luxury packaging, offering high-end fragrance and colour cosmetic packaging solutions, alongside the extensive TriMas packaging beauty and personal care product portfolio,” says Fabio Salik, President at TriMas Packaging.
Another not-to-be-missed section is LUXE PACK Formulation, a dedicated space within the global packaging creativity fair offering a unique platform for beauty professionals. Exhibitors offering fragrances, makeup, and skincare will speak to visitors about their upcoming launches. The companies also offer laboratory tests and measurements, analysis, and regulatory services.
With US-based global brand management group Infinity Global as partner, LUXE PACK in green awards will be held on 3 October. For the past 14 years, the awards have been highlighting and rewarding exhibitors for their best sustainable packaging innovations and CSR initiatives. “In 2023, we are pursuing our efforts to make sustainable development an integral part of the show with the aim of becoming THE global barometer of eco-responsible packaging trends for luxury brands,” adds Germond.
Conferences and roundtables on all three days will have industry experts speaking on a wide range of topics including major trends influencing the sector, role of AI in creative workflows and packaging design, inclusive design, regenerative procurement, sustainability, life and style trends, neurodesign for luxury, worldwide boom in home fragrance, packaging and Industry 4.0, circular growth and its future, international regulations, packaging in the e-commerce era, art infusion on luxury packaging, packaging labels, and the future of packaging.
With sustainability in luxury as the focus area, the organizers this year are providing the delegates with an opportunity to travel from Paris to Monaco in a specially chartered train. The aim of this new travel plan is to reduce the event’s overall carbon footprint and to support visitors in their new habits.
