Libyafood 2025 to Offer Packaging, Supply Chain Innovations

Libya’s capital Tripoli is gearing up to host the 6th edition of Libyafood, one of North Africa’s largest and most prominent food and packaging exhibitions. Libyafood 2025 will be held at Tripoli International Fair Ground from 26-29 January, 2025.

Organised by Adawlia Conferences & Exhibitions, the expo will attract major food producers, suppliers, and manufacturers of food processing and packaging machinery. Around 200 exhibitors will showcase their food production and packaging solutions to an audience of over 21,000 visitors.

Additionally, Libya’s General Board of Fairs has announced that the 2025 edition will include international exhibitors from over 10 countries including Algeria, Egypt, Italy, Jordan, Malta, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, Turkey, and the UAE. The exhibition opens a common portal for all participating countries to enter the Libyan local market and to introduce small and large local companies.

Libyafood 2025 will display a wide range of products and services related to the food chain including production, packaging, and transportation. The exhibition provides an ideal platform for networking, identifying new business prospects with access to the biggest F&B suppliers and vendor database in Libya, and promoting international marketing relationships. The four-day event will allow attendees to familiarise themselves with the latest food industry trends such as automation, food sustainability, product health consciousness, and increased demand for organic foods.

The exhibition will also provide ample opportunities for visitors to meet key figures in the industry, explore cutting-edge technologies, and discover solutions aimed at increasing both production and product quality.

Besides professionally-managed workshops, Libyafood 2025 will also feature experts from the agrifood sector brief on trending topics related to food production, processing, distribution, selling, and marketing.

Saad Al-Hanish, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy and Trade for Technical Affairs, says that 80% of local food industries remanufacture raw materials imported from abroad. “The ministry’s strategy supports the localisation of food industries in a way that contributes to enhancing food security and expanding the industrial and investment base for the packaging industries, especially with the great demand for Libyan products in the markets of neighbouring countries.”

Following its successful inauguration in Benghazi in 2014, Libyafood moved on to the capital city Tripoli.
