With the launch of the AccurioPress C2070 series, Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe GmbH (Konica Minolta) introduces a new line of production printing systems. As a successor of the bizhub PRESS C1070 series, the brand-new AccurioPress C2070 series combines the prized quality and performance of the previous models with additional features and options in order to adapt to individual customer requirements.
The AccurioPrint C2060/C2070 are aimed at print providers in an entry-level production environment. Both devices provide an easy transition into digital printing, with entry-level finishing features and an optional modular concept for maximum colour consistency. Superb image quality and optimal media flexibility provide ultimate performance for the user. For commercial printers and CRDs with high volume demands, Konica Minolta offers the AccurioPress C2060/C2070/P.
Having already rebranded the production printing software as AccurioPro, and Konica Minolta’s first digital inkjet press as AccurioJet KM-1, the AccurioPress C2070 series will be the first production printing hardware to be named AccurioPrint and AccurioPress. As of now, all entry-level professional printing systems will be branded as AccurioPrint instead of bizhub PRO, while AccurioPress replaces bizhub PRESS for high-end production printing devices.
The AccurioPress C2070 series enables print providers to create more business opportunities by handling a wide range of essential digital printing applications. The series comes with improved thick paper support for various media types, such as coated and embossed paper up to 350 gsm. In addition, a new, large capacity unit for banners up to 750 mm in size ensures efficient banner printing, such as for book covers and three-fold menus. Because the printing speed of envelopes has doubled since the predecessor bizhub PRESS C1070, envelope printing is now also more profitable. The new colour dual scanner is capable of running at a speed of up to 240 ipm, and is equipped with a double-feed detection kit to avoid scanning two sheets at once.
