Canon Middle East (CME), a printing and imaging innovations expert, has announced today its extended partnership agreement with Almasa, a technology solutions provider based in the Middle East, to further strengthen its presence in the Iraqi market, which is a key focus in its mid-term plan and support the channel and printing industry in the country.
The enhanced collaboration will be announced during a virtual signing ceremony on July 7th, 2021, which will be attended by management teams and representatives from both companies, wherein Almasa will be stated as an official distributor of Canon’s B2B office automation and Large Format products to the Iraqi channel market.
Almasa has been a key contributor to the Iraqi economy for more than 15 years, maintaining a good reputation in IT distribution and delivering new printing technology, operations, workflows, and applications, among others. This strategic move is in line with CME’s plans to address the growing demand of B2B printing solutions within Iraq’s printing industry.
Venkatasubramanian Hariharan, Managing Director, Canon Middle East and Turkey said: “As a leading imaging and printing provider across the world, Canon has always been focused at bringing innovative products and solutions to as many customers as possible. Given the initial success of our early collaboration with B2C products coverage in the channel across Iraq, we have expanded our partnership with Almasa with the B2B office automation and Large Format Printing product portfolio to strengthen our impact in the country. The Iraqi market is one of our top priorities as part of our mid-term plans due to its growth potential, and we are proud to have found a partner such as Almasa that shares our vision and ambition there. They have been operating in the Middle Eastern market for more than 25 years, and their accomplishments speak volumes of how they understand the cultural and economic climate in the region. We are looking forward to all of the possibilities that come with this strategic partnership, given Almasa’s in-depth knowledge of IT and printing technology and its wide reach and expertise in the channel business in Iraq.”
This expanded partnership with Almasa marks the first for CME that targets resellers businesses in Iraq thereby cementing its value proposition to the channel industry. Moreover, CME and Almasa will further improve their efforts to cater to different sectors in the market including the government sector and integrate the offerings for the channel business.
