interpack 2029: Early Summer Dates, New Six-Day Runtime

The excitement following interpack 2026 is still palpable because meaningful encounters, strong business deals, and plenty of inspiration continue to have a lasting impact. At the same time, the focus is firmly on the future. For 2029, interpack is setting the course for the future with a new date and a new time.

The next interpack will take place from 10–15 June 2029. This means that the world’s leading trade fair for processing and packaging will now be held in early summer and will adopt a new schedule of six days, from Sunday to Friday. Consequently, interpack is refining its format and responding to the trend whereby leading international trade fairs must now focus even more strongly on efficiency and high-quality networking opportunities.

“interpack is the most important platform in its sector. Building on this position, we are consistently developing the event further. We listen carefully to what exhibitors and visitors need and are creating a format that will support their success at the trade fair even more effectively. This is the first visible sign of that. Further innovations will follow,” says interpack Director Thomas Dohse regarding the 2029 event strategy.

The schedule change is based on in-depth discussions with exhibiting companies, the interpack Advisory Board, and international industry associations. The new format responds to the frequently expressed desire for a more compact event schedule, which focuses on high-quality contacts and a more targeted use of time at the trade fair. By shifting the event window from Sunday to Friday, interpack aims to deliver an optimised balance of global market reach and operational efficiency for both exhibitors and visitors.

The early summer dates tie in with the unique energy of interpack, where the walkways, outdoor areas, and the entire site will once again become bustling hubs of interaction. This creates an industry meeting place that further emphasises the festival-like atmosphere for the global processing and packaging community—serving as the perfect complement to the innovations, discussions, and business deals taking place in the exhibition halls.

Close collaboration with the industry and a flexible approach to new developments remain key factors in interpack’s success.
