Germany to Establish a 3D Printing Center in Jordan

The Vocational Training Corporation and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) recently signed a financing agreement to establish a training center for additive manufacturing and 3D printing at Marka Male vocational training institute, in Jordan.

The financing agreement was signed between the German Agency, and Jordan’s Minister of Labor and Minister of State for Investment Affairs / Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Vocational Training Corporation, Dr. Maen Al-Qatamin.

According to the Ministry of Planning and International cooperation, this project comes within the Ministry’s plan to develop, improve and keep pace with the digital technology and future professions. While at the same time funding provided by the German government strengthens and upgrades the vocational training system and creates an advanced training environment within international standards.

The Director Ministry of Planning and International cooperation, Eng. Ziad Obeidat, said that the German side will provide equipment and training programs, raise the knowledge and efficiency of the trainers in line with best international practices. Young people are focused on creativity and innovation and to provide skilled graduates who respond to the requirements of modern technology is a valuable objective. The training is expected to be completed by the third quarter of this year.
