Fujifilm will be Highlighting the importance of print applications. The stand will create the impression of a high quality retail space, showcasing print in the type of environment it is designed for.
Fujifilm will use the show to demonstrate a variety of solutions for print service providers of all sizes, highlighting the versatility of its products and technologies.
On show will be the six channel Acuity Advance Select 4006. In addition to the standard CMYK ink set, the Acuity Advance Select includes additional white and clear ink channels allowing the printing of varnish effects in a single pass.
There will also be the Acuity LED 1600 – a hybrid printer that will not only be printing typical every-day graphic jobs but also high added value examples using the high density white and clear. All of the key components were developed by Fujifilm. In its heart lie high-precision Dimatix Q-class printheads, a proprietary LED UV-curing lamp system and a newly-formulated, six-colour, and Uvijet ink set.
Fujifilm will also use the SGI exhibition to explain the new-generation ‘Scaleable Architecture’ platform design for the Inca Onset Series of UV curable printers which are sold globally by Fujifilm. This new architecture uses a modular design, developed by Inca and Fujifilm that gives Onset users the power to evolve the productivity / colour specifications of their printers on-site to match their budget and changing business needs.
All Acuity machines use Fujifilm’s Uvijet ink, which combines adhesion and durability with widely noted coverage and mileage. The manufacturing process involves the company’s proprietary Micro-V ultra-fine dispersion technology.
Fujifilm will also use SGI to promote the Jet Press 720, a four-colour, B2 sheet-fed inkjet press. Jet Press promises an entirely zero make-ready performance, which eliminates waste and makes it a good fit for short-run applications. The machine can print 2,700 sheets per hour at 1,200 dpi, and is designed to produce high quality magazines, brochures and fine-art prints. Samples of prints from the JetPress 720 will be available to view on the stand.
“We are excited to be able to welcome visitors to the Fujifilm stand at SGI,” says Enis Kraiem, Regional Sales Manager of FUJIFILM Middle East Graphic System Division. “We are confident they will walk away understanding the wide array of high quality applications that are possible today, all efficiently produced using the technology and expertise we can offer them.”
