First Glimpse To FESPA Digital

FESPA Digital 2014 (Messe Munich, 20-23 May 2014) made history as the biggest FESPA Digital to date.

With a record-breaking 536 exhibitors across FESPA Digital, FESPA Fabric and the co-located European Sign Expo, the Munich event is 21 per cent bigger than FESPA Digital 2011 in Hamburg, the previous Digital event.

FESPA Digital 2014 is the largest focussed digital print exhibition worldwide this year according to the organizer.

In an interview with the ME Printer Neil Felton, Fespa CEO said early indications suggest that Fespa Digital will host more than 15000 unique visitors of which 33% are from Germany and the rest descend on Munich from all over the world.

A raft of new products from different manufacturers were on display.  Canon, HP, Fujifilm, Mimaki, Agfa, Durst and others brought their latest kits to the show. Canon also arranged an open house one day on May 19 in Oce’s Poing factory. The wide range of large format printers on display was mind boggling.

Everywhere printers were churning out colourful posters. Soft signage and textile printers were abound. There were also some technologies that went unnoticed. For example Roland introduced a printer that was working with Sepiax inks.
