Düsseldorf is gearing up for a high as the 26th edition of glasstec, the world’s leading trade fair for the glass industry and its suppliers, will be held from 20 to 23 September, 2022, at Messe Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre.
For over half a century, the biennial event has been a benchmark trade show for the glass industry offering a comprehensive exhibition assortment that includes the latest advancements in glass manufacturing, processing, and finishing; glass applications in construction industry; laser technologies and solar energy; glass products; and auxiliary tools.
With the participation of professional visitors and leading international companies, the venue provides an efficient way to present products to a global audience and expand business network. The exhibition will also feature high profile symposia and product demos providing cutting-edge technological solutions for the industry.
In addition to the extensive ranges exhibited, glasstec 2022 will again offer a unique and comprehensive lineup of side events from practice and science. The glasstec Conference will feature high-level panel discussions on the industry’s hottest topics which are seen by experts as essential and global themes for the future development of the sector and society at large. These include innovative solutions that save the climate; future-proof cities with urbanization; saving use of raw materials, skilled labour, and energy; adding value re-thought; and what glass can do for the wellbeing.
With the success of its recent launch, glasstec 2022 will continue with its expansion of the Start-up Zone to help young companies connect with investors with innovative ideas, new business models, and technology.
The focal point of the ancillary events programme will be the multifaceted and innovative glass technology live (gtl) NEXT IN GLASS, the special show organised by the university network of four renowned technical universities of Darmstadt, Delft, Dortmund, and Dresden, where students from a wide range of disciplines and the industry will amaze visitors with a unique presentation of trend-setting technologies, from science and glass research, presented to the public for the first time.
Glass, as a reflection, will be having over 40 exhibitors from the printing and label industry showcasing their growing innovativeness in the sector.
Germany’s modico GmbH & Co. KG exclusively presents the new technologies and devices for 360° printing including the Perivallo 360m single spindle 360° printing system and the LSINC PeriQ360 quad-spindle UV printing system. A M Ramp & Co. GmbH is another German exhibitor driven by a passion for printing inks and a quest for perfection. The mid-sized company manufactures and provides systems of highly-specialised industrial printing inks for screen, flexographic, pad, and gravure printing.
Italian companies are participating actively in this year’s edition. OMSO, a global leader in manufacturing printing equipment on a wide variety of surfaces and applications will be displaying Servobottle, a fully servo-driven machine for printing up to 10 colours in UV ink on multi-format glass bottles and tableware, and the fully servo-controlled automatic SB021 screen printing machine. Cerve SpA with its Techno5 designs, manufacturing, and installations of a wide range of machines specialized in high-precision screen printing on all kinds of glass containers will be displaying CN5, the fully-automatic CNC machine and RM series of 6 and 4 colour screen printing machines. Printing machine manufacturer Cugher Glass Srl will be displaying machines for silk-screen printing on glass; and IR, UV, and combined dryers, with vision systems and quality control, and systems dedicated for handling, transporting, and storage of glasses of any dimension and shape.
Spain’s Tecglass, having focused on glass decoration, has introduced machines engineered to improve the results that could be achieved across a vast array of applications. On display will be the Vitro Jet F TYPE for printing high speed precision lines, dots, monochromatic and multi-colour graphic patterns and high definition photographic images on glass sheets of all sizes and shapes.
Swiss firm Grunig-Interscreen AG will be showcasing screen printing equipment for the professional stencil production including coating, de-coating, degreasing, developing, drying, stretching, and washing. Another Swiss company is Lusher Technologies AG that develops and produces computer-to-screen (CtS) and computer-to-plate (CtP) precision equipment for digital imaging of offset and flexo printing plates as well as for textile and screen printing.
UK-company Sun Chemical Ltd. will present its complete portfolio of direct glass printing and decoration solutions for both, flat and hollow glass. Showcased will be the SunVetro range of glass decoration which can be used for direct printing on both flat and hollow glass for a wide range of end uses and products. Another British company Pro-Sight Ltd. will be exhibiting its range of new production efficiency monitoring systems with bottle inspection machines, separators, and orientators including the sink and bulge inspection machine for inspecting the sink and bulge defects in label panels.
Around 940 exhibitors from 40-plus countries and more than 40,000 trade visitors are anticipated to meet on the floor show creating incredible partnership opportunities and setting the trends that will drive the future of the glass industry.
