Dammam-based commercial printing and packaging specialist Al-Ebtekar has decided to strengthen their existing fleet of Heidelberg sheet fed printing presses by adding the latest Speedmaster CX 104-6+LX2. The latest addition follows the installation of Heidelberg’s flagship Speedmaster XL 106-6+LX2 a couple of years ago.
The Speedmaster CX 104 opens up a wide range of possibilities – including navigated or autonomous production – ensured by intelligent support systems such as Intellistart 3 and the unique Intelliline. Equipped with conventional and UV printing and coating to cater for a wider range of commercial and packaging products, the versatile Speedmaster CX 104 can easily handle all materials, from lightweight paper to rigid carton stock for packaging. Even in high performance ranges with speeds of up to 16,500 sheets per hour, it not only impresses packaging professionals but the commercial and label printers as well.
The Speedmaster CX 104 can process a wide range of substrates and can be configured with various equipment packages as required. Other standout features include an ergonomic design for an optimal operating environment, an innovative coating unit designed for easy changeover between different types of printing jobs, and a flexible configuration making the printing press highly versatile.
Established in 1979 as a commercial printing company, Al-Ebtekar diversified into packaging in 2001 to meet the growing demands of both local and international markets. The family owned business has two factories. The full-fledged commercial printing unit in Dammam’s 1st Industrial City designs and produces invoices, catalogues, posters, flyers, paper and PVC stickers, envelopes, books, and many more. The carton manufacturing facility in Dammam’s 2nd Industrial City provides bespoke packaging solutions for a broad spectrum of industries including F&B, pharmaceuticals, health and personal care, and consumer goods among others.
Zeid Al-Jehni, General Manager at Heidelberg Middle East Fzco, says, “We are proud to have Al-Ebtekar as one of our leading partners in the kingdom.”
