Chamber of printing and packaging industries in Egypt recently opened its new headquarters in Cairo. The new HQ is adjacent to the Federation of Industries building.
“The new HQ will be used as a hub to promote the printing standards and training as well as a meeting place where members can discuss issues affecting printing industry in Egypt. The new headquarters will also play an important role in providing technical assistance and support packages to printers,” comments Khaled Abdo, President of the Chamber of printing and packaging industries
Addressing Dr. Hazem El-Beblawi, prime minister and Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the defense minister the chamber called for government’s support in establishing a new paper mill to help offset the shortage of paper products- currently amounting to 240 thousand tonnes- in the country.
Abdo said that he has already requested an appointment with the Prime Minister and Al Sisi to discuss the project.
The Chamber has already prepared a feasibility study on the establishment of a huge paper mill which will be located in Al Hawamdeya area.
