Canon Middle East will have a 192 square meter stand in SGI which is bigger than last year. The reason for a bigger stand is obvious. Following the full integration between Océ and Canon on September now Canon Middle East has a wide range of products and solution to display in one stand and under Canon brand. “We will be showcasing an extensive portfolio of products and solutions including the newly launched Plotwave 360, Arizona 460 flatbed press and full range of LFP products.
We will also highlight our workflow for photo book printing which includes image capture, printing and finishing. Other applications for map printing, design and so on will be promoted by Canon’s staff at the show,” explains Ayman Ali Marketing Manager for Canon Middle East. Canon will also launch channel partner program parallel to the event. Ayman Ali is upbeat about the growth and performance of Canon during 2013.
“The growth in our LFP business is 30% higher than last year. That’s why we are adding to our resources and recruiting new business development manager for our LFP range of products. The demand for our LFP products is high. We are exploring very lucrative opportunities in countries such as KSA and Qatar. imagePRESS business has also been growing rapidly. We are experiencing 70% increase in imagePRESS sales this year. We had many successful sales activity during 2013. To give you an example United Printing and Publishing in Abu Dhabi recently purchased an Océ varioPrint 6000 TP+ Ultra Duplex Printer with the capacity for 10 million print per month. This shows how fast digital printing is becoming an essential part of any printing business in the region.”
Now that integration between Canon and Océ in Middle East and Africa is complete, partners which were representing Océ will be working with Canon Middle East. Canon has already started to integrate Océ technology into Canon products. “Some of Canon professional print products are now using Océ’s PRISMAsync controller. This workflow has not been introduced in the region. But eventually PRISMAsync will be launched and integrated into Canon products in the region. We are also in process of recruiting a business development manager who will look after our workflow business,” concludes Ayman Ali.
