The centrality of the School and the “new” Office, the future scenarios of the circular economy and its potential in the Stationery & Office sector will be the focus and main theme of the 25th Big Buyer event, scheduled from 10 – 12 November. The presence of a large number of top-level exhibitors has already been assured. This report gives you all the previews.
With all major companies and brands confirmed, stands enlarged and new participants, the Big Buyer 2021 Exhibitor Park promises to be outstanding, complete and ready for the re-launch of the Stationery, Office, School, Festivity and Creativity sectors. After the enforced hiatus of the Trade Fair last year due to the global health emergency, the Organiser promptly took steps to support Exhibitors and Visitors for the 25th edition of the B2B event and meet the new needs of the entire Supply Chain.
“The pandemic we are experiencing has led to unexpected changes, many of which are already becoming genuine opportunities. Progress in technology and in the digital field, the emergence of hybrid commercial formulas and corporate re-organisations are prompting our entire market to review its mainstays and explore new forms of business. Big Buyer 2021 aims to support Manufacturers and Distributers in this difficult phase of reconstruction and re-launch,” comments Mariella Nasi Pfeiffer, the Creator of the Event. To achieve this, Big Buyer will focus on what are unanimously considered to be the main areas of interest for Manufacturers and Distributors – School, Office and Green Style – complementing them with specific conferences and training sessions, held with participants present and in full compliance with anti-Covid regulations.
Education and teleworking: how the market is changing
Distance Learning and the closure of institutes in 2020 and 2021 have not, however, prevented Companies from focusing on innovation, quite the contrary: we can already say that many new products, which have been left aside in recent months, will be previewed for the first time at Big Buyer 2021. In complete safety, Visitors will be able to view and assess their many advantages, uses and inclusion in the catalogue or in shops. The R&D process has not slowed down during the pandemic, not even in the Office world. Things could not have been any different considering the widespread adoption of teleworking and the resulting new identity that Offices have been forced to acquire. By addressing emergency needs and launching new projects regarding assortments, the Supply Chain in this sector has managed to survive in 2020, but it now needs to regain momentum and achieve new models of efficiency. This year, the Top Design Award (14th edition) will be exclusively reserved for the Office sector and for products that not only combine design with efficiency but also, and above all, fully meet emerging needs. “Big Buyer 2021 will highlight changes in the School and Office sectors and will encourage even more networking among Operators, who during the three days of the Fair, after this long period of enforced separation, will have the opportunity to meet and discuss what has been done and what still needs to be done,” states Mariella Nasi Pfeiffer.
The future is green
The importance of green issues is growing among Manufacturers and Consumers in the Stationery & Office sectors: interest is increasing, the number of offers is growing and purchases of eco-sustainable products and collections are on the rise. “The recurring theme at Big Buyer 2021 will be green products, their applications, their potential and the materials used to give them this footprint (bioplastics, cork, corn, etc.). To demonstrate the added value of this concept, we will be setting up a special exhibition area with great appeal in the Exhibition Hall, called Green Flowerbed, where collections focusing on the circular economy will come together,” says Mariella Nasi Pfeiffer. This will allow companies and visitors interested in developing sustainable projects to get in touch with reliable experienced partners.
Furthermore, for the first time at Big Buyer, the “Green Future” award will be presented to the eco-sustainable and eco-fair trade product, made with the utmost respect for the environment. “At Big Buyer 2021, we intend to provide concrete ideas to encourage the emergence of a truly sustainable industrial and distribution ecosystem in the Stationery & Office world, thus helping to protect the Planet and publicise the most successful case histories. This is our commitment and many companies have already shown their appreciation of it,” concludes Mariella Nasi Pfeiffer.
