Afra is showcasing a range of affordable print finishing and packaging equipment at Gulf Print 2015 and the range is selected keeping its priority as fast ROI to the investor. Live demo of 20+ equipment will be shown at stand F1 of Afra.
Afra will be mainly focusing on two segments which Includes digital automated finishing range and value added conventional finishing equipment.
The equipment on display at GPP includes:
1. Mohr BC 330 Three Side Trimmer
The Mohr BC 330 with Barcode reader is the latest development for automatically cutting perfect-bound or saddle-stitched products (e.g. books). In contrast to three-knife trimmers, it only has one knife for cutting three sides.
2. Aura 1300 digital flat bed Cutter
Aura 1300 Digital flat bed Cutter Series is the newly developed cutting system which can be used as production die cutting and creasing solution without any dies for the Digital Printers.
The high speed (1300 mm/sec) Schneider servo drive can perform at high accuracy.
3. Morgana AF 2000 S
The System AF2000 with its high capacity dual bin feeder for a wide range of booklet types and sizes. The system is fed by the AF602 air assisted feeder which has a loading capacity of up to 540mm, giving long uninterrupted production runs. Pre-collated sets can be placed into both bins for longer runs, or covers can be placed into one of the bins when they need to be merged with collated sets.
4. Morgana Digibook PUR Binder (450)
The DigiBook 450 comes as standard with an automatic cover feeder to give increased production of up to 450 books per hour. The cover feeder can also be equipped with an optional scoring attachment which will eliminate the need to pre-crease covers.
5. Uchida Aeroct Quatro/Nano
The high speed Uchida AeroCut Quatro Cutter, Creaser, perforator machine is equipped with two margin slitters and two double slitters. A five inch color display makes job setting and operation simple and user-friendly. You can preset data and save up to 90 additional jobs, such as business cards, leaflets, greetings cards, post cards and so on.
Micro perforation can be carried out to a high standard. There is optional slitter and scoring unit available by replacing the standard perforation unit. Cross perforation is also available by replacing creasing unit.
