The UAE’s capital city of Abu Dhabi will host the first edition of the Global Media Congress from 15 to 17 November 2022, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs for the UAE. The exhibition is being organized by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) in partnership with the Emirates News Agency (WAM).
To be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre, it will be the first post-COVID in-person media event in the region aimed at driving investments and partnerships between key media players in the GCC and MENA regions. The mega event aims to provide opportunities for international transfer of knowledge to the UAE and the wider GCC in key media sectors; for buyers and sellers from across the region to meet, exchange ideas, and do business; and serves as an ideal platform for global companies looking to engage in media markets in the GCC and MENA regions.
The three-day exhibition will be a hive of activity with innovation talks, panel debates, workshops, AI sessions, product launches, and live pitches in which industry stakeholders, government and regulators, regional and international media companies, social media influencers, and representatives from global technology and infrastructure companies will participate in reviewing the best practices and discussing key topics and issues, including communication and digital technology, the impact of AI on contemporary media, and the integration of advanced technologies and innovation in the media sector. A number of specialized sessions in the fields of print journalism; electronic media including television, radio, and the Internet; and social media will also be held.
The Global Media Congress promises to be an inspiring platform to learn about the reality of the media industry in the region and the world and to formulate a dynamic vision for the future of this industry, which has become a major catalyst for sustainable development in societies.
