Leading inkjet printing developer Memjet announces that its OEM Partners will be showcasing high-quality color label and packaging systems at the upcoming WestPack Conference. This is North America’s largest advanced design and manufacturing conference focused on packaging, connecting 20,000 attendees with 2,000 suppliers in all areas of packaging and labeling. WestPack will take place February 6–8, 2018, at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.

“There has never been a more dynamic time to be in packaging,” said Kim Beswick, general manager of Memjet. “Mintel reports that changes in consumer behavior — including growth in e-commerce, the desire for locally produced products and demand for sustainable products and packages — will drive packaging innovation in 2018.”

Beswick also said, “At the heart of this innovation are digital inkjet printing solutions. The quality, speed and affordability of these solutions, combined with the creativity of Memjet’s OEM partners, are resulting in labeling and packaging solutions that keep pace with whatever consumers demand.”

Competing in this fast-changing market requires solutions that enable suppliers and manufacturers to produce the types of short-run, customized packaging that keeps pace with consumer needs. The flexibility of such solutions means manufacturers and providers no longer need to rely on large volumes of packaging. Packaging can now be produced on-demand, with the level of customization and information needed to reach today’s consumers.

Memjet’s solutions use water-based inks which are 100% free of reactive chemistries making them safe for use and better for the environment.

At WestPack, Color Label Solutions will demonstrate the Memjet-powered New Solutions Multi (NS Multi) box printer. This corrugated, folding carton, and wide format printer can print on any paper-based package up to ½” thick and 43” wide, including pre-cut cartons, corrugated sheets, or folded carton stock. The NS-Multi makes producing customized, short-run, on-demand packaging easy and affordable.

Attendees can also see demonstrations and receive information about these solutions by visiting the stands of the following Memjet OEM Partners or their reseller partners:
