Follmanns to Make its First Appearance at FESPA

The aqueous and ready-to-use coatings from Follmann enable subsequent digital printing of numerous substrates

Following the takeover of the business area Aqueous Coatings for Digital Printing from com2C on 1 March 2018, the family-owned company from Minden, Germany, will be presenting its new product portfolio from 15 to 18 May 2018 at the FESPA exhibition in Berlin. At Stand E10 in Hall 6.2, exhibition visitors will have the chance to find out more about ready-to-use, water-based coatings for digital printing.

As the world’s largest exhibition for the wide-format printing industry, FESPA is the ideal platform for Follmann to present its new products for digital printing to a specialist audience. “We are extremely pleased that, so soon after the expansion of our product range, we will be making our debut fair appearance and will have the chance to meet the previous com2C customers personally and, of course, establish new contacts,” explained Heiko Kirstein, Head of Sales Functional Coatings at Follmann.

The aqueous and ready-to-use coatings from Follmann enable subsequent digital printing of numerous substrates such as films (PVC, PP, PE, PET), paper, textiles, wallpaper, and canvas. They are suitable for various ink systems, including water-based pigment and dye inks, latex inks, solvent inks, eco-solvent inks and UV-curable inks. Squeegees and engraved rollers, as well as Mayer bars and foulard, can be used as application systems.

The functional surface coatings ensure high-quality print designs and guarantee outstanding colour brilliance. Thanks to the impressive drying speeds, the media to be printed, such as roll-ups, banner ads, packaging, and labels can be quickly processed. If required, the coatings can also fulfill special properties like stringent UV stability, scratch-resistance and flame resistance standards.
